Resulting from Quake and Tsunami, Cox Virginia Provides Immediate Live Video Feed of TV Japan, a 24-Hour Japanese Channel, to Its Northern Virginia Customers at No Cost

Cox Communications-Virginia and all Cox Advanced TV customers

As a result of the powerful earthquake and the resulting subsequent tsunami that originated off the coast of Japan earlier today, Cox Virginia is providing immediate access to live programming from TV Japan , at no cost for a limited time. Cox Advanced TV customers in Fairfax County and Fredericksburg will have access to TV Japan on Cox Channel 287 .

TV Japan is a 24-hour Japanese language channel. It is the only Japanese TV channel available in the US & Canada and airs comprehensive news coverage in both Japanese and English.

TV Japan is located on Cox Channel 287 .

Access to TV Japan will begin at 6 p.m. EST today on Cox Channel 287. The no cost, live feed is expected to be available to Cox customers for the next seven days.

Cox Virginia is committed to serving the communities in which it provides services. Providing access to the 24-hour coverage through TV Japan helps residents to follow the events in Japan much more closely.
