Jason Day showed that he really is the world’s top golfer today as he blew past the field onto an 8-under 62 for the day and a 6 shot win over Henrik Stenson at The Barclays. Day finished 19-under for a 261 total after birdieing the final hole.

The 27-year-old from Australia leads the Fed EX Cup standings over phenom, Jordan Spieth. He is assured a top 5 placmeent in the Fed Ex Cup and will be among the players with a shot at the $10 million bonus at the Tour Championship.

After his victory, Day said, “It’s been a special summer for me, and it’s not over. To be able to play the way I did over the weekend is fantastic. Today was just phenomenal golf.”

Day had, at one point, gone six years without a win on the Tour. 2015 is turning into a real run for him. He has four wins including one major and today’s The Barclay’s tournament.
