Singapore Airlines contracts DHL to deliver in-flight amenities worldwide.

DHL Global Forwarding Singapore, the freight forwarding arm of DHL, the world’s leading logistics company, has been awarded a prestigious business win with Singapore Airlines.

As the provider of choice for Singapore Airlines, DHL will look after the global transportation of all in-flight amenities from Singapore Airlines to all of its network destinations and offices in the world. This will happen mainly through DHL’s distribution hubs in Singapore, China and Germany.

The agreement covers both air freight services and ocean freight. The contract also specifies that DHL will provide all inland transportation services to Singapore Airlines’ China and Germany hubs through its Supply Chain unit.

The operations began at Singapore Airlines’ hub in Singapore on January 15, 2011, and they are expected to roll out to China and Germany in April and May, respectively.
