Ah, the holiday season is amongst us. It’s a time of joy, family, and delicious FATTY FOODS AND DRINKS!
I mean, who doesn’t enjoy deep fried holiday Oreos, or that buckle-busting eggnog latte with extra heavy cream? Then again, who really enjoys looking in the mirror and seeing it after New Year’s in all its fat and dimpled glory?
We could probably go on and on about which foods to avoid or eat in moderation this time of year. Instead, we’re focusing on a couple of the most popular home fitness equipment of the season.
On Red driving sled! On Kettlebells! On Rowers, and Battle Ropes! On Treadmills, on chin up bars! On Cross trainers and gym rings!
When it comes to fitness equipment, these are the top eight most popular items this year.
Push sleds are becoming a must have product in every indoor training facility. Push the sled or put a harness on and pull it. Both exercises help with explosion when running and other sports performance movements. Attach a low push bar, landmine or harness to this Xtreme Monkey push sled to make it the ultimate power sled.
Element Vinyl-Dipped Kettlebells
Kettlebell workouts increase strength, endurance, agility and balance. Kettlebell workouts challenge both the muscular and cardiovascular system with dynamic, total-body movements.
Rowers are becoming the hottest products on the market. A rowing workout conquers most of the muscles in your body building strength and endurance. WaterRowers mimic the real rowing motion the best and are made in the USA.
Battle ropes have become popular with cross-circuit and sports performance training. They allow you to build explosive strength and endurance. Check out the limited addition Camo sleeved battle rope.
Treadmills have always been a staple when it comes to indoor endurance training. And the leader of the pack is Life Fitness. Their treadmills offer the softest base and the newest console technology.
Chin-ups are arguably the best upper body resistance exercise around. There is no other exercise that can replace its functional value. Not only do “chins” build the back and biceps, the abdominals, chest and grip muscles get a workout as well. This pull-up bar can be used for an anchor for gym rings, bands and TRX products.
Precor Cross Trainers/Ellipticals
If you are looking for low-impact endurance training, ellipticals are a must. Precor designed the first elliptical and has been a leader in the field. Precor’s new Precision Series Cross-trainers technology uses your preferences and exercise data to deliver a personalized workout experience that promotes better results and saves you time.
Gym rings offer full body suspension training. Hang the rings from the rafters or a pull up bar and you can perform body weight workouts on every muscle group of your body. Gym rings have become really popular with Cross-fit and extreme athletes.
The coolest thing about these products is that they aren’t simply trendy, they are the real deal! Getting the most amount of power, explosion, muscle recruitment and endurance is the name of the game for any fitness enthusiast working out at home. Happy Holidays!
