With World Cup host, Canada, losing to England by a 2-1 margin, the final four of Women’s World Cup have been decided.
The first match pits the United States, which won its game over China 1-0, against Germany, which narrowly won against France in a thrilling shoot out. The teams are ranked #1 and #2 in the world, with Germany being favored in the match that begins at 7:00 ET on Tuesday. The US will enjoy the return of Lauren Holiday and team star, Megan Rapinoe, who were both suspended for earning too many cards. Both teams have two modern-day world Cup victories.
Japan and England match up in the other semi-final. Japan overcame a strong Australian team 1-0 on Saturday, while England took care of Canada. Japan is considered the odds-on favorite, as England surprised even itself with its wins in the Cup this year.
