Chelsie Kryst, Former Miss USA, died on Sunday in Manhattan. The police are currently investigating her death.
According to the NYPD, she died after jumping from a Manhattan building. Kryst worked as an attorney, entertainment news correspondent, and fashion blogger, and in 2019, she won the title of Miss USA.
CNN reached out to the Leading Medical Examiner, enquiring if an autopsy would be conducted.
The police have not shared the reasons surrounding or leading to her death. The lead detective of the investigation refused to share any more details on the case.
Before her death, she posted her photo on Instagram and wrote, “May this day bring you rest and peace,”
From her post, most people believe that she was struggling and mentally disturbed. Most people who have died from such deaths have been associated with suffering.
Kryst wanted to make the justice system in America better. As an attorney, she offered counsel and fought for wrongfully convicted people.
People have taken to social media to offer their condolences. “A woman of many talents.” The University of South Carolina praised her.
“Her great light inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength. She cared, she loved, laughed, and she shined.” The family said
Kryst died at the age of thirty. The world mourns the loss of a hero. “Our hearts are broken,” the company said. “Charlie was not just a vital part of our show. She was a beloved part of our Extra family and touched the entire staff. Our deepest condolences to all her family and friends.”
