Adverse Weather Conditions Lead To Postponement Of Austin FC vs. LA Galaxy Match At Q2 Stadium

On Sunday night, September 24, severe weather wreaked havoc at the Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, where a highly anticipated game between Austin FC and LA Galaxy was scheduled.

Mother Nature had different plans for the evening, as lightning, powerful gusts of wind, and even hail descended upon the stadium.

The stadium management made an announcement stating that a lightning strike had occurred within the safety perimeter. As a precautionary measure, they immediately implemented a mandatory shelter-in-place protocol for all the guests present at the stadium.

The weather conditions were severe enough to warrant such precautions. The delay in the game was unfortunate, but the well-being and security of the spectators were prioritized.
