GI is a rating of carbohydrates’ effect on blood sugar levels. Food’s glycemic index determines how quickly it raises glucose (sugar) levels in your blood.

Low GI foods keep your blood sugar at a more even level, helping to reduce your insulin response and preventing spikes in your blood sugar. 

On the other hand, the effects of high GI produce a fast spike in blood glucose levels after being eaten, which can cause fatigue and hunger soon after eating.

Breakfast foods are usually cheap, quick, and easy to make, perfect for a busy morning.
