Will The World End In 2025: 10 Events That Can End It

It has become a routine for many to predict what will happen on planet earth, thanks to movies and the imaginative power of the mind. But then, will the world end in 2025?” Many still think it’s a possibility.

There are wars between nations and threats of war between world superpowers that have weapons of mass destruction. These world powers have nuclear weapons that can end the world with a push of a button. There’s also the claim of killer asteroids crashing to earth.

We know how the dinosaurs and several land creatures were wiped off the face of the earth by a 10 kilometer long asteroid. But the question is, will the human race experience the same? Will the planet killer strike or will killer robots lose their minds and start attacking humans?

Here’s what you should know

Will The World End in 2025?

Many people have shared their concerns that the world will end in 2025. But, unfortunately, there’s no scientific consensus to backup such claims.

Another reason the world won’t end in 2025 is that the claims don’t have the support of reputable experts in critical fields, such as geology, astronomy, and even climatology.

So, the claim that the world will end in 2025 is nothing but mere rumors. There are challenges in the world, and we’re battling with climate change issue, but things haven’t gotten that bad to the point where human existence would be threatened

Prediction of Solar Storm In 2025

Many people have predicted that the world is going to end in 2025, as a solar storm is set to hit earth in July 2025.

The sun can kill planet earth. It can wipe out every living thing on the planet. But are we really expecting a solar storm in 2025, precisely in July?

Predictions that earth will receive solar storms are mere speculations. There is no element of truth in them. The predictions are also not science-backed, so earth isn’t going to be hit by a solar storm anytime soon.

What Did NASA Say Would Happen In 2025?

NASA hasn’t made any claim that the world will come to an end in 2025. No reputable body, agency or organization would make such a claim without scientific evidence.

So, what has NASA said might happen in 2025. Saturn’s rings may likely vanish from view in 2025. That’s what NASA thinks. And the planet’s rotation on an axis is the phenomenon responsible for the rings’ disappearance.

Speaking to CBS News, NASA made it clear that Saturn won’t really lose its ring. Instead, what will happen is that the rings will go edge-on. In other words, they’ll become essentially invisible to earthlings in 2025.

According to Amy Simon, one of the renowned scientists at NASA, the only possible time we can see the rings will be in the months before and after they might have gone edge-on. The NASA Goddard Space Flight Center-based scientists also mentioned that people can view what Saturn looks like using the PDS rings node.

Vahe Peroomian, a University of Southern California professor, mailed CBS News important information about the planet’s rotation. He’s a professor of physics and astronomy, so should have a great knowledge about the subject.

He told the news outlet that the planet (Saturn) rotates on an axis tilted by 26.7 degrees. And the view of the planet’s rings from planet earth changes with time.

Peroomian also claims scientists from earth can see Saturn’s rings edge-on. But this only happens once in every 13 to 15 years. And because they reflect a small amount of light, they are quite difficult to see.

The last time the ring went edge-on was in 2009. So, according to professor Peroomian, the rings will edge-on again on March 23, 2025.

Galileo Galilei was recorded as the first individual to look at Saturn via a telescope. He did it as far back as the 1610s. Unfortunately, Galileo’s telescope was unable to resolve the rings.

Christiaan Huygens was the person that Saturn had rings that were detached from it. He made this shocking, but exciting discovery in 1655.

So, expect Saturn’s rings to go edge-on in 2025. After that, it will become visible in a few months.

A Handy Tip: Saturn, a gas giant (a planet composed of 75 percent hydrogen and 25 percent helium) is 4 billion years old. However, it is not the only planet that has rings.

The reason NASA took interest in Saturn rings is because the planet’s rings are the most complex and spectacular of all the planets that have.

The four planets in the solar system that have rings are Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus. But Saturn’s ring system is the largest.

How The World Could End In 2025

Just because scientists are saying our planet and humanity aren’t under the threat of extinction doesn’t mean it cannot happen. It can happen at any time.

Several activities can wipe humanity off the face of the earth. We have experienced it with dinosaurs and have several creatures in extinction or labeled “critically endangered species.”

But let’s get one thing clear. It will take something massive to end humanity. It will take something really serious for the world to end.

So, let’s assume the world is going to end in 2025. Now, the question is, what are the activities or threats that could possibly bring about the end of the world?

1: Climate change:

The world has seen how climate change is making life unbearable for humanity. The change experienced so far is only a minute. So, what happens if the change to our climate gets worse? It would be devastating.

So, climate change is the biggest threat our planet is facing or that could end the world. It is the mother and main source of all apocalyptic fears and scientists agree with it.

The weather is already changing and affecting lives. A massive change in climate can make it worse. Places that receive snow in winter will get colder, while hot periods will get hotter.

The increase in droughts and distribution of disease across the globe can affect the lives of humans on the planet adversely. Flooding is another disaster that could rear its ugly head.

We may begin to see low-lying places submerged in water following an increase in sea levels. All the changes mentioned can lead to civil unrest, famine and loss of ecosystem.

So, climate change is a big issue and can lead to the end of the world. Thus, we must act and do what’s necessary to fight climate change.

The solution lies in afforestation, and reduction in the use of fossil fuels. Tree planting will help reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Trees breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen.

We must embrace renewable energy, and lower our energy consumption by using energy-saving bulbs and appliances. The fight against climate change is everyone’s fight, not the government’s alone.

2: Global pandemic:

The spread of global pandemic is another major threat that can end the world. We are all witnesses to the Coronavirus pandemic and how it spread from country to country, claiming lives.

The virus claimed the lives of over 6.86 million people within a few years. Now, imagine how many more lives would have been lost if the virus wasn’t eradicated. It would have been higher than the reported death toll.

A global pandemic more deadly than Coronavirus, spreading and killing faster can bring the end of the world. It can do this in two ways.

First, it will bring the global economy to a halt. People won’t be able to leave their homes for fear of contracting the disease. This might lead to hunger and lack of money.

Another is the disease itself ending the world. Since it spreads faster, kills faster and has no cure, anyone who contacts the disease has automatically signed a pact with death.

If this happens, then the world might not end in 2025, but may end a fear years after. People can tolerate the stay-at-home order from the government until they become bored. At this point, they may break the law and contract the disease.

The Coronavirus pandemic has shown how connected our world is. Isn’t it surprising that a virus from China spread across the world in such a short time? That’s what we’re saying.

3: Asteroids:

Most of us might not feel concerned about asteroids ending the world, but scientists know it’s possible. A wandering rock crashing to earth is the last thing we want to see. The destruction it would bring would be devastating.

The meteors brought an end to the dinosaurs, so there’s no reason to think they can’t do the same thing to humans.

4: Overpopulation:

How will overpopulation cause the end of the world? An increase in population implies there’ll be more mouths to feed, clothe and shelter. Our natural resources won’t be spared.

Overpopulation can lead to hunger, which can have a devastating impact on the health of people. Lack of adequate nutrients can lead to malnutrition, and death of people.

The increased demand for shelter caused by overpopulation will lead to the felling of more trees, causing a setback in the fight against climate change.

We all know the massive destruction climate change can cause. So, we can’t afford to do things that will jeopardize the efforts made to combat climate change.

The reality is, the population of the world is growing. In 2022, the world population was 8 billion

5: Alien invasion:

Alien invasion is a threat that doesn’t need much explanation. We have watched how devastating such encounters can become in movies. The same thing can happen in real life.

The good thing is, scientists aren’t sleeping on this one. A group of scientists once sifted through radio static to find signs of alien existence but found none.

But supposed they were able to find signs of alien existence; what do you think could happen? Will the aliens visit our planet or stay in theirs? Of course, they’ll want to stop by to take our mineral resources or colonize earth.

We have seen from the movies that these aliens are ten times stronger and more intelligent than humans. They’re also more innovative. So, any alien invasion will be catastrophic. It could lead to the end of the world.

6: Engineered disease:

The incident of 2011 comes to mind when analyzing the dangers of engineered disease. We have seen how scientists can modify diseases in a lab and make them more deadly.

The mutant version of the popular bird flu (H5N1) sent fear into the hearts of the scientific community. People were outraged to learn that the disease was made more potent in a lab.

The worst part is the mutant version was transmissible by air. So, if released from the lab mistakenly, it would lead to a global pandemic that could end humanity.

We haven’t heard of an engineered disease being worked on for decades. But that doesn’t mean nothing is happening underground. Let’s just hope it doesn’t happen.

7: Biological weapon/nuclear war:

From Iran’s secret effort to increase their nuclear arsenal to North Korea leader’s battle-ready stockpiles of nuclear weapons, the end of the world is surely not far off.

The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists’ action on the Doomsday Clock reminded the world that the end is near. The nontechnical magazine on global security was founded in 1945 and has a good account of the destruction nuclear weapons can cause.

The organization shifted the clock to five minutes past midnight, an indication that the end of the world is close.

The Doomsday clock indicates how close humanity is to extinction, thanks to nuclear war, use of biological weapons or climate change. Imagine the nuclear weapon falling into the wrong hands. It would lead to massive destruction of our planet.

8: Mass insanity:

Mental health is one of the biggest health challenges in the world today, but less talked about. People focus on their physical health more and their mental health less.

Many people in the world today are dealing with psychological disorders. The World Health Organization claims over 500 million people are affected.

Depression will soon take over as the leading cause of death in the world. Look around you. The signs are everywhere.

Will prolonging the lifespan of humans bring a solution to this problem? The answer is clear for everyone to see. There’s a report that Americans over 65 years are more likely to end their lives. So, how does increasing the lifespan of humans help?

Some scientists have claimed that humans could soon start living for over 200 years, a discovery many would welcome. Unfortunately, the accumulated sensation in the human brain for 200 years is much information for one’s memory.

The brain could be overloaded, and that could lead to insanity. Of course, the solution to this problem lies in drugs. That’s what many would be thinking. Drugs can help to make the brain function properly.

Now, here’s the thing. The long-term effects of some of the drugs we take are poorly documented. So, it’s best not to use drugs to promote mental health. They have side effects that could lead to an impact on patients in the long run.

9: Robots in action:

If you’re thinking robots can’t bring an end to humanity, think again. Or, better still; watch movies like “Terminator.” It’s just a movie, but things of such nature could happen.

The United Nations has voiced its concern about countries and companies producing killer robots. These robots are created and activated with advanced technology that surpasses human intelligence.

Besides, having a bunch of robots wielding deadly weapons roaming the streets isn’t a good idea. Something could go wrong that may cause them to become aggressive.

We can clearly see the improvements made on artificial intelligence over the years. AI is gradually surpassing human intelligence, and it’s only a matter of time before it loses control.

10: Snowball effects of multiple events:

What if there were several events responsible for the end of the world in 2025? For instance, climate change could increase the prevalence of pathogens, or the ecosystem collapse.

The collapse of the ecosystem means food production by plants would be harder. There will be no bees to pollinate crops, and so on.

Conclusion

So, will the world end in 2025? Claims that the world would end in 2025 are mere speculations. There is no scientific evidence to support such claims.

Many claim a solar flare in 2025 would lead to the end of the world. However, top scientists haven’t issued any warning regarding such claims.

There are events that could lead to the end of the world. Examples include climate change, global pandemic, nuclear war, overpopulation, engineered disease, and so on.

These events can lead to the end of the world should they occur and there are signs of one or more happening in no distant time. For instance, the threat of nuclear war between world superpowers has been ongoing for a while now. But we hope it will only end as threats, no action.
