Why Does My Body Feel Heavy; Is This Normal

Sometimes you wake up with your body feeling heavy or tired. This feeling sometimes comes with pain. You are wondering what might be the cause of this. Human bodies are very delicate—especially aged people.

It would help if you went for a medical check-up regularly. It is best when you have you have a private doctor. Is this feeling normal? Yes, this is not something new. Most people have experienced this. If you feel your body is heavy, you should seek medical services.

Although it’s normal to feel this, you might be having serious complications. Assuming this will only bring you more harm.

But you are still wondering why your body feels heavy. Here is an explanation for that.

Why does my body feel heavy?

You are either sick, tired, or depressed. When people are ill, their bodies are weak. The bodies show signs. Your chest might feel heavy because you have lung cancer.

You can make observations to know the reason behind your heavy body. If you spend the day on the farm and you get this feeling. It is because you are tired. Your body needs a shower and rest.

If, however, you are indoors and you feel this way, it is certain that you are sick, if not depressed. You are probably thinking too much if your head feels heavy. Free up your mind by resting or taking a walk.

Depression! How So?

Some of you might find this hard to believe. Depression and anxiety can make you sick. Depressed people have a low appetite and think a lot. Failure to eat weakens your body.

Someone who is depressed does not take a break from thinking about their problems. Your mind becomes clogged and unable to process all this information. You start developing headaches.

Muscles Disorders

Myasthenia gravis and muscular dystrophy are diseases that affect the muscles. You might be suffering from such. The disease might be affecting a single muscle. However, your muscles get weaker with time, and the whole body starts feeling heavy.

What To Do When You Feel Your Body is Heavy

  • Adequate rest; Doctors always tell patients to get enough sleep. Machines do not run continuously; they are also switched off to cool down. When you get enough rest, your body will function well.
  • Time off; Take time away from your work. Some jobs like Architecture demand a lot of mental concentration. You are seated staring at your computer for long hours. Your brain cannot handle all this pressure, not forgetting you do this five days a week or more.

Some people are always busy that they miss medical check-ups. Builders use physical strength. People need to take monthly leave.

Conclusion

Never assume! If your body feels sick or weak, go to the hospital. Something like sick muscles might paralyze your body.

Take proper care of your body by eating healthy, exercising, and getting enough rest. Yes, your job pays your bills, but you should always take beaks. Your body is not a machine.

Get a job that aligns with your hobby. If you like animals, become a tour consultant or pet handler.
